Brokenwater Rhythm became the Kevin Hahn EP after it was first an incredible band out of San Marcos, Texas. The five-piece included Jeff Nelson on Drums, Erik Hahn on Percussion, Chris York on Bass, Craig Milam on Lead Electric Guitar, and Kevin as a twelve-stringing strummer/lead signer, with Travis McKnight most notably on Rain Stick. This is where the crew cut their teeth on performing in Austin.

For three years, as the Thursday Night Residency Band at The Voodoo Room at 419 E. 6th St, working with Owner Michael Girard, this band created a sound that became a soundtrack to the college days.

 

They plaid Fraternity parties all up and down Sixth Street, including The Dacuri Factory and Side Street Bar, or on a moving barge on Lake Austin, at CJ's On the Square, and at The Green Pariott on the Square in San Marcos, not to mention Nelson's college party house run by Caroline and Jeff's Sister, Jenny.

 

When the Music creates the Scenery, the sound breaks up the monotony, so because the music is fluid like water,

A highlight of Hahn’s repertoire has been the collaboration with Rami Jaffee, http://www.fonogenic.com (Wallflowers founding member, Foo-Fighters) and Blair Sinta on Drums (Ryan Cabrera, Alanis Morissette, Annie Lennox) on the independent cut of “Lola”, Hahn’s most downloaded song to date. The EP TIME TO PLAY CD Release show was held at the Viper Room on Sunset Bvd, West Hollywood, Ca featuring Rami Jafee on Acordian, Damon Damon Vonn on Guitar and Mike Nero on Bass.

Other favorite endeavors have included playing on the True Experience Festival tour with famed acts including the Gin Blossoms, Big Head Todd, Cowboy Mouth,

3 Doors Down, Dan Dyer, and Michael Tolcher.

 

 

Long time friend and creative entrepreneur Travis McKnight, has invested in many facets of Hahn’s career including executive production and lyrical contribution of three EPs and one LP of live and solo acoustic compilation. Their brotherhood and spirit permeate in the passion that exudes for any Solo-Crossroads Production.

Solo - Crossroads' art is unique and said to be Jackson Pollock inspired. The style was favored by Brad Arnold, lead singer of 3 Doors Down and helped him create a musical-art vibe in the Nashville theatre room of his home. A guitar case designed and hand painted by Kevin and Travis is eye-catching in this space even amongst the many #1 hit single plaques and American Music Awards that Brad has received with his band.
